Because, BRAC has been launching its micro credit program with a view to helping the rural poor women from its inception. BRAC has been advancing its micro credit to the poor rural women to generate income by creating self-employment in various sectors of economic life (Quddus, 1995: 117). According to BRAC Annual Report-2003, BRAC has been able to create confidence among the rural women and keep positive impact upon the entrepreneurial development of women folk in rural Bangladesh (BRAC Annual Report, 2003: 55). In the present study, an attempt has been made to measure the impact of micro credit program of BRAC for the development of rural women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh.
