Al-Azraqi , Relationship of Serum Leptin Concentration to Fat Deposition in Slaughtered Young Camels, Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances, Volume 6,Issue 1, 2007, Pages 16-19, ISSN 1680-5593, javaa.2007.16.19, (https://makhillpublications.co/view-article.php?doi=javaa.2007.16.19) Abstract: Body weight, back-fat thickness and serum leptin concentration were measured in a total of 166 young camels. Serum concentration of leptin increased linearly with body fat and age and highly correlated with back-fat thickness, suggesting that serum leptin content is a good indicator of body fatness in camels.
