This study proposes a new sampling design to estimate the population mean of sensitive variable. It compares analytically and numerically the variance of the proposed estimator to some existing estimators and establish its greater efficiency. The process was extended to Searl’s method of estimation, estimation method which utilizes priori information and estimation process using auxiliary information. Comparisons of their variances/mean square errors give valid results that agree with established facts in the literature. ER -
