The dynamic and transient events presented in this paper include system starting, supply voltage sag and swell as well as supply disconnection and reconnection. Modeling and simulation results of the presented events are based on well known MATLAB/ Sim Power Systems (SPS) blocks. The simulation results show that the D-STATCOM has a superior performance over SVC. ER -
