The compressive strength of concrete was conducted on cubes of dimension (150x150x150 mm), after the cubes were cured in a curing tank for 3, 7,14 and 28 days, respectively. GGBS was varied from 0, 15 and 30% whereas alccofine was varied from 0-20% at 5% increments. The results indicate that replacement of cement by alccofine material increases the mechanical strength (both in compression and in flexure) to a large extent and extensively at 10% replacement of cement.
