Specifically the study investigated the causality between human capital investment and economic growth during the period 1975-2005 using cointegrated and Error Correction Mechanism (ECM) technique. The findings of the study revealed that there existed a directional causality between Human Capital Investment and Economic Growth in Nigeria. It is therefore recommended that government should increase its budgetary allocation to the education and health sectors coupled with concerted efforts of all the stakeholders: government at levels, non governmental organization and the organized private sector in improving educational and health facilities for sustainable economic growth.
