The power generated from the diesel power plant depends upon the fuel used. The characteristics and properties of biodiesel varied with respect to the raw materials. Due to the conflicting attributes of the parameters, selecting suitable bodiesel is a cumbersome work. An application of Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) technique for selecting a suitable biodiesel for a diesel power generator is shown in this study. Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is integrated with VIKOR (VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) to analyze the various properties of each fuel and rank them, which is validated by the FAHP-PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization method for Enrichment of Evaluations). This study focuses on seven alternative fuels with seven evaluation criteria. The result shows that Pongamia is the best alternative among the selected alternatives. ER -
