Data mining itself has shifted from stand-alone systems to distributed databases since most real life data are now distributed. Current studies in these areas are also considering the adoption of mobile agents in mining association rules from these distributed sites. Some of the algorithms presented in the literature are also distributed while others are not. All of them with their own peculiar issues and challenges which are of diversified forms. There is a great need to harness these diversified issues and challenges in one study to serve as reference point for researchers in this area of study. This study therefore, intends to review current distributed association rule mining issues and the challenges associated with them. ER -
