    Abstract: The study shows the economic and sociological approaches to the concepts of "savings" and
"saving behavior" defining their structural elements as well as considers methodological avenues to deepen
the social content of these concepts and phenomena. Social content of saving behavior is considered in
conjunction with the external, contextual and internal, dispositional and value-conscious, components.
