    Abstract: The new species <I>Cobitis evreni</I> sp.n (Southern Turkey). Distinguished from all other members of <I>Bicanestrinia</I> subgenus by following characters: the lack of a black spot on caudal base, reduced of 3rd Gambetta zone, absence of 5th Gambetta zone. The shape of the mouth, suborbital spines, laminae circularis and scales.
