The objective of this article is to compare the results of the SaberPRO tests, during the years 2016-2018, of the industrial engineering programs offered by the different Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Colombia in three forms by type of financing (public HEI and private HEI by region and by accreditation. The results showed significant differences between public and private institutions as well as between accredited and non-accredited institutions. Also, through multiple factor analysis (AFM), the competition with the greatest discriminatory power was identified which allowed us to find 15 programs as references of the 82 evaluated.
