We examine the variations of soil micro-arthropods. Among the soil micro-arthropods examined, we concentrate on mesofaunal group, specifically, acarina and collembola. To examine the variations of these species, we collect samples of soil from different sites-agriculture, vegetative and unarable land. The parameters that we examine are population, population density and abundance of soil micro-arthropods. We carried out experiments and observed that the total population of acarina in case of tomato is 3.58% smaller than that of collembola and the total population of acarina in case of brinjal is 10.67% smaller than that of collembola. Further, we found that the total population of acarina in maize is 4.10% larger than that of collembola and the total population of acarina in case of the natural site is 11.02% larger than that of collembola. Further, we compare the abundance and density of soil micro-arthropods found from different sites. Keywords: Temporal variations;population dynamics;micro-arthropods;acarina;collembola
