Omotor , Causality Between Energy Consumption and Economic Growth in Nigeria, Pakistan Journal of Social Sciences, Volume 5,Issue 8, 2008, Pages 827-835, ISSN 1683-8831, pjssci.2008.827.835, (https://makhillpublications.co/view-article.php?doi=pjssci.2008.827.835) Abstract: The study investigates the causal relationship between energy consumption disaggregated into coal, electricity and oil consumption and economic growth in Nigeria. The estimated results from the application of the Hsiao’s Granger causality version, revealed that energy consumption leads economic growth and vice versa. The policy implication of the findings is that energy enhancement policy will engender economic growth of Nigeria.
