This study was also Focus on the variation among intergenerational marriage trends/patterns in the society. A sample of 120 married females was randomly selected from four villages in Tehsile Chakwal. The results show that majority of the respondents said that dowry is very necessary for their daughter to settle in marital life, no change in customurial behavior due to the traditions in biradry system. There is a significant association between age and biradry consideration in selection of marriage, income of the respondent and high economic position in selection of life partner, education of the respondent and within family mate selection.
