Laparoscopic surgery is minimally invasive and traumatic in animals. For laparoscopy, the animal rapidly turns its normal physical condition. Laparoscopy allows safe biopsy in several organs such as kidney, liver, pancreas and intestine. It also assists some surgical procedures such as cryptorchidectomy, abomasopexy, colopexy, castration and adhesiolysis. To perform laparoscopy, the surgeon should know abdominal topography. Laparoscopy requires expensive instruments that can also be used to other endoscopic procedures. This study with application of laparoscopy in veterinary surgery with advantages and disadvantages.
