However, when the process is stabilized, it needs to be improved and optimized. This study focuses on identifying the optimization techniques on comparing them and on choosing the most economical one in terms of time and cost. First, the procedure is supported by manufacturing applications used as test bed to validate the procedure undertaken in using first full factorial, Fractional design to identify the key variables that have an effect on the desired response. Second, the Tagushi Orthogonal two step optimization and a natural neural network are used to optimize the process. Finally, the study shows that the Tagushi approach requires less number of experiments while providing the same optimization results as full and fractional factorial designs. ER -
