In 1999, Islamic poitical parties in Indonesia are in stiff position about women’s possibility becoming president but now Islamic political parties has “revise” their opinion. Through various constructive engineering, they try to legitimize women’s leadership within countries. Based on the phenomena it is important to research about women’s leadership in fiqh siyasah perspective. This research was used qualitative methods by descriptive anaylsis, primary data in this research were collected through observation based on the activities and phenomenon while the secondary data gained from documents or files which are related to the topic. From the research which have been conducted it can be known that in the view of Islam that the woman which related with leadership has the right to be selected and choose that although, there is opinions differences in this matters. There are some different fiqh siyasah perspective about women’s leadership in politics. For classical Sunni Ulama Siyasah Syar’iyah most require that it has to be men like Imam Al-Ghazali and some do not require men like al-Mawardi and Ibn Taymiyah. ER -
