Modern world suggests participation right for women similar to men and since industrial revolution this thought was entered to social domain and West-following in Iran promoted this thought in this country. In Pahlavi era, unveiling on the pretext of women’s freedom reached to its summit and by the appearance of Islamic Revolution a big evolution was appeared towards women participation in social and cultural issues. Imam proposed women’s presence in social areas as a social duty and responsibility and this presence was solidified in the constitution of Iran. The thought of women presence in social areas and equal rights with men was the result of Islamic anthropology basics that if not distinguished causes violating women’s rights. In this study, using a descriptive method, women’s rights in Islam and UN convention on women rights are compared. ER -
