In view of the above, efforts are being made at the levels of government, the organized private sector, international donor agencies and NGOs to alleviate poverty so that man can live a meaningful life on the earth space. Despite various strategies employed by successive government and other agencies at alleviating poverty in Nigeria, the scourge seems unbolting as a result of lack of seriousness on the part of government, lack of reliable population figures as benchmark for planning, corruption and neglect among others. The study recommends conducting a reliable and acceptable census, back to the land policy, transparency and elimination of corruption among others for sustainable poverty alleviation in Nigeria. ER -
