The British colonial impact still persists in African countries and hence there is lack of accessibility of transport to all population and areas. Quality of vehicles is too low and less road safety. This study analyses the constraints of transportation in African cities. Specific land use strategies are to be implemented based on the typical geographical conditions of Africa. As a developing country, Africa needs to address a lot of concerns with respect to urban transportation and to be at par with other developing nations in the world.} }
